UBOAT is a replica of a World War II submarine unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s a survival sandbox of crew management engineers, the main theme of which is the life of a German sailor. The ark is their home, but it could always become their graveyard.
In UBOAT, you lead the crew to control the ship. You take care of their physical and mental health, because when sailors are hungry, tired and low on spirits, they have no chance of winning even an encounter.

An extensive damage system is the basis for the game’s survival aspects. As a result, unprecedented situations inevitably arise that test the player’s creativity and ability to stay calm. You can try to save the entire crew or leave someone to save others.
When your ship is traveling through rough seas, you will often be alone. Use your leadership skills to make the most of the resources you use during your voyage, and in exceptional circumstances, try to reclaim them at sea by asking your allies for help… or by looting the wreckage of enemy ships.

Tell your crew to stay in bed to prevent oxygen degradation.
If your crew’s morale is low, play a skate game with them or listen to music from nearby radio stations to boost their morale.
Working in the Kriegsmarine
During the game, you will receive missions from the Kriegsmarine headquarters. These are never linear, and within them you may receive additional orders or encounter unexpected problems.
For valiantly completing headquarters missions, you will be rewarded with additional funding for the unit you command and recognition for your growing reputation as a submarine commander. This is necessary to upgrade your ship and keep up with the technological advances of the enemy.
Upgrade your ship for reward points.
Get additional permissions for reputation tokens.
Buy new equipment – new types of torpedoes, sonar decoys, CO2 absorbers and more.
Send your officers to headquarters on special projects to accelerate research into new technologies, among other things.
A perfect metaphor
The gameplay elements are very realistic, but this never detracts from the quality of the game. Despite the extensive puzzles, UBOAT can be played like a regular game, and the difficulties can then be learned to become the ideal commander of the unit you command.
Even minor details, such as the effect of each section’s ballast on the ship’s impact or the Earth’s impact, are faithfully reproduced in the game.
