Banquet for Fools :Shunned by the gods, the Vollings have turned to paganism to survive. But the Vollings have always been resilient and hardworking. A lord has embarked on a venture to settle an island long abandoned by their dead culture, braving the cursed land in hopes of cultivating the lucrative spice grown exclusively on its slopes.
His venture is a success, but he is quickly beset by problems from many sides. As he sets sail to defend his holdings against a jealous neighbor, he receives news that every inhabitant of his one acre has vanished without a trace. With few options left, he asks his guardians to let four volunteers venture abroad to investigate this mystery.
Party Industry: Banquet for Fools
Explore the island of Invimona in this open-world adventure with four native companions. Depending on the stats they receive, they will each have unique options for conversing with NPCs and each other as they interact along the journey. You are assigned a pack boro for your mission, which can carry a canoe as well as other supplies you collect along the way, and you can all trek and explore the rivers and seas of Invimona.
Visit towns to find clues and equip your party with unique items. As a ranger, you will be asked for help as you encounter a variety of farmers, scribes, artisans, and even Gadaar among the stables. In the five years since their settlement, gravediggers have swarmed Invimona like flies, and ensuring they find their way to the Isle of Exile is a constant battle.
There is no automatic compass or quest logs for you in Banquet for Fools, although many quests and requests are offered in scrolls. Navigating the island properly is part of the challenge of finding quests.
The combat: Banquet for Fools
Banquet for Fools is a turn-based, turn-based combat. When your action bar is full, you can pause the game by moving your battle dome, and selecting an action and/or target within the dome. Play as one guardian at a time, while the others will continue to attack, defend, kick, attack, and speak as desired. You can always switch leaders or tap a support guardian for combined attacks – cooperation is the key to success.
If the enemy units are too heavily defended, use a basic attack to weaken that enemy for follow-up attacks with your allies, or combine your attacks by unlocking Combination Attacks during battle to attack simultaneously!
Skills: Banquet for Fools
Equip your four crafted companions with different skills to overcome the challenges your journey will bring. Choose your favorite weapons, armor, pagan spells, beast hunting, music, and gadgets and customize them by purchasing experience or training individuals you meet throughout the island. The most frequently used skills receive bonuses to gain more power and levels.
Promoting a Character as Needed
If a character accumulates enough experience, they can choose to customize their skills and stats. You have 3 points to allocate to each skill you wish to practice, and skills that you use repeatedly in the intervals of leveling up from the final level receive bonus points when you upgrade.
Petitions for Questions
Although the Vollings have entered a pagan age, their ancient gods still listen to their stone image, and perhaps if they see that the speakers are worthy, they will speak again.
Petitions from these beings grant the Vollings the ability to create custom sacred objects specially tailored for those they favor, but these blessings come with the completion of the requested event and the desire to consider themselves worthy. These beings are minor gods, and they compete, so choose your statues wisely. Seek out ancient and new ones based around the island with varying powers, and bless new prayers and even more powerful versions as you progress.
Songs of the Dead: Banquet for Fools
Customize your in-battle playlist by purchasing songs with distinctive auto-starts and power levels. Songs can trigger at the start of a battle, after an enemy is downed, when teammates are low on health, and many more! You can memorize multiple songs at once with varying intensities, so choose heavier songs and when they randomly complete your gameplay and party composition in Banquet for Fools.
